Volleyball Recap: Fontana Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fontana entered their tilt with Miller on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Miller Rebels 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Steelers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Fontana won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-17.

Donavan Bacon paced Fontana's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bacon got some help from Luis Gonzalez and his 23 assists. Bacon was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Fontana's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Miller, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Fontana will take on Rancho Verde in a tournament on Saturday. As for Miller, they are taking a road trip to face off against La Sierra at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
