Football Game Preview: Gunnison Cowboys vs. Alamosa Mean Moose + How To Watch

The Gunnison Cowboys will challenge the Alamosa Mean Moose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gunnison hasn't scored more than eight points for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Friday, Gunnison ended up a good deal behind Montezuma-Cortez and lost 21-6.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alamosa). They blew past Bayfield 50-0 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Gunnison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Alamosa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Gunnison took a serious blow against Alamosa in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 44-15. Thankfully for the Cowboys, Dyson Woodward (who rushed for 228 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 210 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes) won't be suiting up this time.
