Baseball Recap: Arete Prep Takes a Loss

Arete Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 19-0 to the Lincoln Prep Lightning, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the CHARGERS of the 18-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Arete Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lincoln Prep, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6-1.

Arete Prep will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Madison Highland Prep at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Lincoln Prep, they have already played their next match, an 8-7 win against Anthem Prep on the 9th.
