Soccer Recap: Burkburnett Takes a Loss

Burkburnett lost against Bridgeport back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Burkburnett Bulldogs came up short against the Bridgeport Bulls, falling 7-2. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 660th, while the Bulls are ranked 231st).

Burkburnett has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. Bridgeport pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Burkburnett will challenge Decatur at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Decatur will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Burkburnett surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bridgeport, they will square off against Mineral Wells at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
