After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Crossroads Christian, Statesville Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 54-23 win over Millers Creek Christian. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Statesville Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Hall, who shot 55% from the field on her way to 17 points. The dominant performance also gave Hall a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (60%). Another player making a difference was Maty Swierad, who posted eight points and six steals.

The victory got Statesville Christian back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Statesville Christian is taking a road trip to face off against Lee Park Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Millers Creek Christian, they have already played their next contest, a 43-18 loss against Community Baptist on the 14th.
