Baseball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

Baldwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Mandarin Mustangs. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Baldwin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Macik, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Mandarin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin will venture away from home to take on Oakleaf at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mandarin, they will head out on the road to challenge Bishop Kenny at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mandarin's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Bishop Kenny's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
