Baseball Game Preview: Vermont Academy Wildcats vs. St. Paul's Big Red

Vermont Academy is 0-3 against St. Paul since April of 2023 but things could change on Saturday. The Wildcats will challenge the Big Red at 3:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Vermont Academy will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Varsity Opponent last Sunday. The Wildcats walked away with a 10-6 win over Varsity Opponent.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Paul's, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Groton School on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-3.

Vermont Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Paul's, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Vermont Academy couldn't quite finish off St. Paul's when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
