Downey won the last time they faced Enochs, and Miguel Garcia Gonzalez did his part to make sure it happened again. The Knights put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Garcia Gonzalez, who had 12 digs and five assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times he's played.

While Downey might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Enochs scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24, 25-23.

Downey's record is now 14-8. As for Enochs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Downey will square off against rival Turlock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Enochs is set to face off against their familiar foe Pitman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
