Baseball Recap: Christian Brothers Wins Going Away Against Vanden

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christian Brothers). Everything went their way against the Vanden Vikings on Saturday as the Christian Brothers Falcons made off with a 7-1 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Falcons with their most commanding win of the season.

Dre Lee tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Henry Ramsey, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Rado, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

The victory was the third in a row for Christian Brothers, bringing their record for this year to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Vanden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Christian Brothers will challenge Inderkum at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Brothers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Inderkum's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Vanden, they will take on Del Oro at 12:00 p.m. on March 8th.
