The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Clair County, who took down 187th ranked Guntersville, 31-28.
The Wildcats were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in 4A Region 6. Guntersville vanquished Guntersville 31-28 earlier in the week.
Locust Fork's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Geoffrey Bramblett threw for 100 and one touchdown and Clay Smith had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Bramblett chipped in 94 yards. Taylor Bentley helped Locust Fork's passing attack out by catching four balls for 19 yards.
The Hornets' Bramblett and Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Bramblett has thrown for 962 yards this season, while Smith has 21 catches for 345 yards. Luke Bailey from Fairview leads the league in rushing with 335 yards.
Oneonta extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Crossville, 49-6. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Redskins.
