Basketball Game Preview: West Oso Bears vs. Bishop Badgers

The West Oso Bears will challenge the Bishop Badgers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Oso will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

West Oso is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They breezed past Columbus to the tune of 71-41. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 23 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

West Oso's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jae'La Hicks, who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Milauni Williams, who put up 14 points.

Edna typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Bishop proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged the Cowboys out 56-53. The win was familiar territory for the Badgers, who have now won 13 contests in a row.

Bishop pushed their record up to 27-8 with the victory, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.8 points over those games. As for West Oso, their win bumped their record up to 30-5.

West Oso came up short against Bishop in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 52-48. Can West Oso avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
