Basketball Recap: Solon Victorious

Solon can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the West Delaware Hawks by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Hawks back in January, they had to take a 57-54 loss.

Solon's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-10. As for West Delaware, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Solon will square off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Solon is facing Independence at the right time seeing as Independence is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for West Delaware, they are taking a road trip to take on Center Point-Urbana at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
