Basketball Game Preview: Skyview Storm vs. Glacier Peak Grizzlies

The Skyview Storm are taking a road trip to face off against the Glacier Peak Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Skyview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.

Skyview's tournament run continued when they took on Summit two weeks ago. Skyview came out on top against Summit by a score of 66-53.

Meanwhile, Glacier Peak had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 57-50 victory over the Timberwolves. Given the Grizzlies' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Timberwolves are ranked 179th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glacier Peak pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Skyview, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Skyview came up short against Glacier Peak when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 59-47. Can Skyview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
