Softball Preview: Felicity-Franklin Cardinals vs. Georgetown G-Men
The Felicity-Franklin Cardinals will venture away from home to take on the Georgetown G-Men at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Felicity-Franklin comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
It was a proper cat-fight when Felicity-Franklin duked it out with Bethel-Tate on Monday. The Cardinals lost 19-12 to the Tigers. On the bright side, the 12- run effort marked the Cardinals' highest-scoring contest to date.
Lacee Easter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alwxis Harless, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Georgetown couldn't beat Blanchester on Friday even though they stacked nine runs on them in the first inning. The G-Men came up short against the Wildcats, falling 20-10. While the G-Men didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 9-1 in the first period.
Carolyn Edmisten and Chloe Inlow stepped up to the plate in a big way. Edmisten went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Inlow went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Vest, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
