It was a good run, but McKinney North unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Friendswood Mustangs by a score of 2-1.

Anna Sayman paced McKinney North's offense, picking up 12 kills. Sayman got some help from Malia McNeal and her 18 assists. Zoe Alsup and Chloe Lewis kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Among those leading the charge was Haley Patton, who had 17 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in November of 2024.

McKinney North's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Friendswood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

McKinney North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Reagan on the 16th. As for Friendswood, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Eagle Mountain on the 16th.
