Soccer Recap: Clearfield Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clearfield walked away with it. They never let the Taylorsville Warriors get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Thursday. The score was close at halftime, but Clearfield pulled away in the second half with four goals.

They hit Taylorsville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lyla Christensen (2), Kamryn Weaver (2), and Emmery Johnson.

Clearfield has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matchups. As for Taylorsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

Looking ahead, Clearfield will face off against Springville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylorsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
