Basketball Game Preview: Frontier Academy Wolverines vs. Brush Beetdiggers

Frontier Academy is 0-10 against Brush since February of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Frontier Academy Wolverines will host the Brush Beetdiggers at 5:30 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Frontier Academy lost to Fort Morgan on the road by a 51-32 margin. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emily Gesick put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 15 points and three steals. She has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played.

Meanwhile, Brush waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 37-30 win over the Vikings. The 37-point effort marked the Beetdiggers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Brush's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Frontier Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Frontier Academy might still be hurting after the 65-39 loss they got from Brush in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Brush's Jocelynn Middlemist, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds.
