Baseball Recap: Harrells Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Epiphany last Thursday, Harrells Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Crusaders came up short against the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs on Monday, falling 8-2. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 13-4 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jesse Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Harrells Christian Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Wake Christian Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrells Christian Academy will square off against Kerr-Vance Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will take on Franklin Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
