Volleyball Recap: Springfield Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gallatin, Springfield was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Northeast Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win. For the Yellow Jackets, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The win didn't come easy: Northeast scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Springfield's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Northeast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springfield will square off against Greenbrier at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northeast, they will host Clarksville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
