Pee Dee Academy dropped down to 5-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Bethesda Academy Blazers and fell 49-0. The Golden Eagles were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the four contests prior), but the Blazers' defense proved too tough.

As for Bethesda Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 46.6 points this season.

Jordan Turner was his usual excellent self, throwing for 156 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 49 yards and a pair of scores. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024. Bethesda Academy's leading receiver Ralo Wesley was Turner's top target yet again, picking up 101 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pee Dee Academy will face off against rival Dillon Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bethesda Academy is set to take on their familiar foe St. John's Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
