Pee Dee Academy dropped down to 5-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Bethesda Academy Blazers and fell 49-0. Having soared to a lofty 62 points in the game before, the Golden Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Miles Wiggins threw for 31 yards. On the ground, Judson Martin rushed for 37 yards.

As for Bethesda Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Bethesda Academy found their leader in sophomore Jordan Turner, who threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 49 yards and a pair of scores. The Blazers' leading receiver Ralo Wesley was Turner's top target yet again, picking up 101 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Pee Dee Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-28 win against Dillon Christian on the 31st. As for Bethesda Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 51-7 victory against St. John's Christian Academy on the 30th.
