Volleyball Recap: McMinn County Takes a Loss

McMinn County extended their losing streak to nine on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-9. They fell 3-1 to the Walker Valley Mustangs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 21, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Walker Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madison Mcclung led the charge by getting 14 digs and four aces. Those 14 digs gave Mcclung a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Scarbrough, who had five digs and two aces.

McMinn County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walker Valley, they will face off against Rhea County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
