Basketball Recap: Sunday's Loss Ends Springfield's Winning Streak

Springfield lost against Constitution back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The Springfield Cougars fell just short of the Constitution Generals by a score of 42-39. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Constitution got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Khaleek Johnson out in front who posted nine points and three steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Chaz Hannah was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Springfield moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Constitution, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Springfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-37 loss against Garnet Valley on the 7th. As for Constitution, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 84-73 defeat against Audenried on the 7th.
