The matchup between Alpine and Tornillo on Tuesday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Bucks put the hurt on the Coyotes with a sharp 18-4 win. The Bucks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Alpine let Ezra Lujan and Aj Llanez run wild. Lujan went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles, while Llanez went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Llanez a new career-high. Iden Lujan was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Alpine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Alpine has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Tornillo, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Coming up, Alpine will square off against Kermit at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Bucks' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Yellow Jackets have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Tornillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
