After a string of four wins, St. Anselm's Abbey's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Berman Hebrew Academy Cougars by a score of 6-4. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Alex McCuaig spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

St. Anselm's Abbey's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Berman Hebrew Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

As of now, neither St. Anselm's Abbey nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
