Baseball Recap: Pymatuning Valley Takes a Loss

Pymatuning Valley couldn't beat Madison on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Lakers fell 12-7 to the Blue Streaks. The Lakers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Sean Croston was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce Fulkman, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Pymatuning Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Madison, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Pymatuning Valley will head out on the road to square off against Lakeside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Madison, they will challenge West Geauga at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
