Football Game Preview: Benton Bobcats vs. Charles City Comets

For the first time this season, Benton will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Charles City Comets at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Benton came up short against Solon and fell 28-21. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Spartans are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Charles City beat Waterloo East 19-6 on Friday.

Benton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Charles City, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
