Soccer Recap: Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Marion on Friday, Central came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Carbondale Terriers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The matchup was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Central couldn't quite close it out.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Carbondale, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Farmington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carbondale, they will square off against Poplar Bluff at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
