Softball Recap: Smoky Mountain Takes a Loss

Smoky Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Tuscola Mountaineers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 9-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Smoky Mountain saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callie Winchester, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Smoky Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Tuscola, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Smoky Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 win against East Henderson on the 2nd. As for Tuscola, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against West Henderson on the 1st.
