Volleyball Recap: Middleburg Broncos vs. Leon Lions
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Middleburg had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Leon Lions. For the Broncos, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August.
Middleburg not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Leon between 16 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-19.
Brooke Forkum paced Middleburg's offense, picking up 13 kills. Forkum got some help from
Olivia Callipo and her 31 assists. Forkum was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
