Basketball Game Preview: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders vs. Sharyland Rattlers

The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Sharyland Rattlers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against McAllen on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North came up short against McAllen, falling 69-46. The Raiders have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Mason Lopez put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 5 for 10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Rodriguez, who posted five points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Sharyland can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial with a 63-58 victory.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's defeat dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Sharyland, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-18.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North barely slipped by Sharyland when the teams last played back in January, winning 55-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
