Volleyball Recap: Elko Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Elko and Truckee squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Elko had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered against the Wolverines since November 9, 2019.

While Elko was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Truckee's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-17.

Elko has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-17 record this season. As for Truckee, they pushed their record up to 24-6 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Elko nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
