Basketball Recap: Robertsdale Takes a Loss

Robertsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Daphne Trojans, falling 59-16. The Golden Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-10.

When it comes to explaining why Robertsdale lost, don't look at Lola Mosley. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. That's the most points Mosley has posted since back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Daphne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abagail Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fredayshia Goodwin, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Robertsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Daphne, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Robertsdale will head out to face off against Foley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Daphne, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fairhope at 5:30 p.m. Daphne will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
