Volleyball Recap: Newell Comes Up Short

Newell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kadoka Kougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Irrigators of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Newell's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Kadoka, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Newell has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Belle Fourche on the 4th. As for Kadoka, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Gordon-Rushville on the 4th.
