Volleyball Recap: St. Patrick's Victorious

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Patrick walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Wood River Eagles 3-2 on Monday. For the Irish, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2017.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Berkley Strode, who had 16 digs.

St. Patrick's win bumped their record up to 12-19. As for Wood River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-22 record this season.

St. Patrick's has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against St. Cecilia on the 27th. Wood River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
