Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alpine). They put the hurt on the Kermit Yellow Jackets with a sharp 91-69 victory on Tuesday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-29.
Kermit's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Diego Juarez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. That's the most boards Juarez has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Pando, who posted 19 points.
Alpine is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Kermit, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13.
