Softball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello managed to slip by Chisago Lakes Area the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Magic came up short against the Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Magic were not able to get on the board.

Monticello saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiana Pegues, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Monticello is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15. As for Chisago Lakes Area, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will face off against St. Cloud Cathedral at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chisago Lakes Area, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rocori at 4:00 p.m.
