Basketball Game Preview: Wake Forest Cougars vs. Heritage Huskies

The Wake Forest Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Heritage Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wake Forest has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 31.

On Friday, Wake Forest lost to Knightdale at home by a 56-40 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Knights are ranked 61st).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They came out on top against Millbrook by a score of 74-63 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Heritage is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Wake Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Wake Forest came up short against Heritage in their previous matchup on Wednesday, falling 51-41. Can Wake Forest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
