Recap: Au Gres-Sims Wolverines vs. Hillman Tigers
The Au Gres-Sims Wolverines lost against the Hillman Tigers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Au Gres-Sims took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hillman.
Despite the defeat, Au Gres-Sims saw an underclassman step up: Sophie Fox dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillie Maser, who scored 16 points.
Even though they lost, Au Gres-Sims were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Au Gres-Sims' loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Hillman, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Au Gres-Sims will take on Hale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillman, they will be playing at home against Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
