Basketball Recap: Johnsburg's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Johnsburg was riding high fresh off their 55-33 takedown of Lakes last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Johnsburg Skyhawks fell just short of the Winnebago Indians by a score of 57-55 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Skyhawks have suffered since January 27, 2024.

Johnsburg's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-15. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.2 points. As for Winnebago, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-17.

Johnsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winnebago, they will head out on the road to square off against Rockford Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winnebago knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Rockford Christian likes a good challenge.
