Chardon and Riverside are an even 3-3-1 against one another since October of 2016, but likely not for long. The Hilltoppers will head out on the road to square off against the Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chardon will be strutting in after a win while Riverside will be coming in after a defeat.

Chardon took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past North 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for Chardon as it spelled an end to their six-match losing streak.

Lydia Yeary was the driving force of Chardon's attack as she scored both of Chardon's goals, bringing her season total up to four goals.

Meanwhile, Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to South. Riverside fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against South since Tuesday.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Chardon, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-8.

Chardon took their win against Riverside in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 6-1 score. In that match, the Hilltoppers amassed a halftime lead of 4-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
