East was led to victory by Andre Thomas, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Thomas struck out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 5.4 strikeouts per game.
