Basketball Recap: Pleasanton Comes Up Short

Pleasanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The matchup between them and the Central Heights Vikings didn't end well, with the Pleasanton Blu-Jays falling 32-18. The Blu-Jays were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in January of 2016.

Leading Central Heights to victory were Addison Ouellette and Melaney Chrisjohn. Ouellette posted 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Chrisjohn put up nine points in addition to seven boards and four steals. That's the most boards Chrisjohn has posted since back in February of 2024.

Pleasanton's loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Central Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Pleasanton has already played their next game (against Uniontown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 38-31 defeat against Crest on the 4th.
