Baseball Game Preview: Live Oak Eagles vs. Dunham Tigers

The Live Oak Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Dunham Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Live Oak's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Dunham's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Live Oak took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Dunham by a score of 8-4. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Sawyer Pruitt tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Brock Davis was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Cal Cassard was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Live Oak hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dunham struck out ten times.

Dunham now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Live Oak, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
