Softball Recap: Colleyville Heritage Wins Going Away Against Argyle

Colleyville Heritage's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Argyle Eagles as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Sammie Pham was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Myka Riley, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Eden Cole, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Colleyville Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 11-9-1. As for Argyle, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Coming up, Colleyville Heritage will venture away from home to take on Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Argyle, they will host Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
