Soccer Recap: Olivet Takes a Loss

Olivet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Leslie Blackhawks. While losing is never fun, Olivet can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Leslie are ranked 87th).

Olivet's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Leslie, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olivet will host Ionia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Leslie, they will challenge Michigan Center at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
