Soccer Game Preview: Sapulpa vs. Grant

The Sapulpa Chieftains will venture away from home to square off against the Grant Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sapulpa's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, Sapulpa came up short against Stillwater and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grant, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Enid 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for Grant as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Sapulpa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Grant, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-8.
