The victory made it two in a row for Lamar and bumps their season record up to 6-0-1. As for The Vanguard School, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Fountain Valley the next time they take the pitch. The Vanguard School will head out to face Fountain Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Lamar will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
