Football Game Preview: Imperial Tigers vs. Brawley Wildcats + Official Tickets

Imperial hasn't had much luck against Brawley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will head out to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Imperial will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Imperial had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 28-point drubbing they dealt Calexico last Friday. The Tigers took their contest with ease, bagging a 34-6 win over the Bulldogs. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their ten-point performance the game before.

A big part of Imperial's victory came down to the chemistry between Gio Robles and his top target Santonio Urena. Robles picked up 201 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Urena threw for 267 yards and three TDs.

Meanwhile, Brawley played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Holtville 36-7.

Brawley's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Imperial, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Imperial might still be hurting after the 49-28 defeat they got from Brawley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Tigers, Sergio Garcia (who rushed for 184 yards on only six carries, and also picked up 77 receiving yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
