Basketball Game Preview: Prairie Lea Indians vs. Moulton Bobkatz

Prairie Lea hasn't had much luck against Moulton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Prairie Lea Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Moulton Bobkatz at 6:00 p.m.

Prairie Lea is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were beaten by Austwell-Tivoli 80-30.

Meanwhile, Moulton had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 57.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They really took it to the Yellowjackets for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-12 win. Given the Bobkatz's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 486th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 1555th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Moulton is also on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.9 points per game. As for Prairie Lea, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.

Prairie Lea was dealt a bruising 89-10 defeat at the hands of Moulton when the teams last played on January 7th. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Prairie Lea was down 50-0.
