Baseball Game Preview: Legend Titans vs. Regis Jesuit Raiders

The Legend Titans will head out on the road to square off against the Regis Jesuit Raiders at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Monday, Legend came up short against Highlands Ranch and fell 7-2.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Regis Jesuit made sure to put some runs up on the board against Highlands Ranch on Tuesday. The Raiders walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Falcons. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Ryan Neumann looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Diesel Bernosky was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Chase Massey was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

Regis Jesuit was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Regis Jesuit's record now sits at 7-5. As for Legend, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Legend came out on top in a nail-biter against Regis Jesuit in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
